It’s not just another day.
It’s not even just another Saturday.
It’s Remembrance Day.
A day to remember those who have fallen in battle. Those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Gave their lives in war and conflict so that we could have the lives we have today.
There is not a greater sacrifice.
So we remember. 11-11-11
Saturday at 11 am we stop at Roundhouse radio and Remember.
Honour those who gave their lives.
As hard as it is to do, we carry on with the show.
We begin with Amazing Grace with The Dirty Dozen Brass band from New Orleans.
Then is Shane Koyczan, the people’s poet. His strong, very strong piece is called Remember how we forgot.
Eric Clapton, The Hip, and Bruce Cockburn remind us of why this day is special.
Our special guest is CoCo Love Alcorn..who reminds me that we first met when she was singing with 54.40 way back when.
She moved from one coast to another and started her life over again.
She’s now a Mother, a songwriter and amazing singer.
WoW..finally she’s found her voice and her reason for singing.
The album is Wonderland, the tour is called Invitation to Sing..and the song that started it all is called The River.
Here are her tour dates..
