I love/loved Steely Dan
I could always count on Walter Becker and Donald Fagan to save a shift, a day, Hell even an entire music year.
After those first two singles they became an ALBUM band.
The kind of music collections that you wanted- no – needed to play top to bottom.
And because I came from a jazz background I was seduced by their sidemen.
The members of The Jazz Crusaders plus the best studio cats.
The very best.
At the very top of their game.
They wrote of losers and outcasts.
Misfits and misanthropes.
All of it with a sublime groove.
My kind of music!!
