Amy Helm..one writer described her music as a blend of “part juke joint, part gospel revival, part rock and part Mardi Gras show.

Her Mother was singer Libby Titus
Her Step Father is Donald Fagan.
Any wonder why she’s in the music business?
Actually, that’s where the interview starts..as I’ve discovered that children of artists usually want nothing to do with their parents’ careers.
Anything but music.
Not Amy, she jumped right in but not until after her pop Levon walked her through the history of blues, gospel, R&B and roots music.
It was the same road Levon and The Band had travelled.  Sure worked for them.
